Join Us to Find Your Volunteer Passion
AmeriCorps Seniors is hosting two FREE volunteer fairs in Rockford and Dixon to help you find the right organization to share your time and talents with in a variety or roles! Participating organizations include Lifescape, American Red Cross, Dixon Historic Theatre, Habitat for Humanity, Natural Land Institute, The Salvation Army and many more!
Volunteer Opportunities
Areas Needed: Boone, Carroll, Jo Daviess, Lee, Ogle, Stephenson, Whiteside and Winnebago Counties
Volunteers are needed in our Health Promotions Workshops. Gert-Fit, Stressbusters for Caregivers, Bingocize are all evidenced-based classes and if you are interested in getting trained to teach, this is the spot.
Areas Needed: Winnebago, Boone, DeKalb, Lee, and Whiteside Counties
Areas Needed: Amboy, Dixon, Oregon, Rochelle, and Rockford
Morning Food Prep Volunteers are always welcome and are essential to Lifescape's Nutrition Services. Some responsibilities include: packing and organizing food for distribution, assisting staff with washing dishes, pans, and silverware, wrapping silverware in napkins, and cleaning and sanitize tables and serving carts.
Areas Needed: Rockford
Is your company interested in volunteering? Lifescape accepts groups to work on a number of projects such as serving at our Adult Day Program, packing meals for our Meals on Wheels program, home maintenance projects for our clients, and more.
