AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP of Boone County

Lifescape Americorps Seniors RSVP is always looking for volunteers. Check out the volunteer opportunities below and let us know if you would like more information, or if you have any questions. Thank you for your help!

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide
AARP Foundation volunteers fulfill our mission in the most direct way possible: by sharing their knowledge, skills and wisdom with their communities. Whether helping older adults with low income file their taxes with AARP Foundation Tax-Aide or tutoring young students to read at grade level with AARP Foundation Experience Corps, our volunteers transform lives. The results are stronger communities, a greater sense of fulfillment for our older adult volunteers, and important steps toward reducing senior poverty.
Alzheimer's Association
Our volunteers are passionate, inspired and want to make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer's and all other dementia in our community. The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia - by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
Boone County Conservation District
This volunteer station is perfect for anyone looking to work outside and give back to our environment. The Boone County Conservation District manages over 3500 acres of prairies, woodlands and wetlands in scenic Boone County, Illinois. Minimum impact recreational opportunities, special events and educational programs are offered to the public throughout the year.
Boone County History Museum
The Boone County History Museum is now a 3-story museum in the heart of Belvidere hosting events, lectures, and historical exhibits related to the history of the county.
Empower Boone Food Pantry
Empower Boone’s mission is to help those in our community facing hard times by providing a path to self-sustainability. Our goal is to give hope and help by providing food, non-food items, and resources. It is our vision that our neighbors will be empowered to move beyond the challenges they are encountering, by encouraging and equipping them with the needed resources.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is an incredible organization that makes an impact all across the United States. Habitat works toward our vision by building strength, stability and self-reliance in partnership with families in need of decent and affordable housing. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.
Northern Illinois Food Bank
We work with over 900 food pantries, mobile food truck markets, and soup kitchens who distribute perishable and non perishable foods that you can choose from based on your dietary needs.
Salvation Army
Volunteers are valuable assets in The Salvation Army's efforts to meet the changing needs of our world. Through the skills and experience, they bring to The Army, volunteers make significant contributions to society by positively impacting the lives of those they assist. The Salvation Army volunteers change lives, uplift families, and support communities throughout our nation every day.
Senior Connections (Keenage)
Senior Connections is dedicated to all older adults and their caregivers by reaching out with programs to help enrich and improve their quality of life. The goal of our comprehensive service planning is to assist individuals to enable them to live independently, as long as appropriate, with emphasis on meeting the needs of frail, vulnerable older persons.
YWCA Literacy Council
The Literacy Council exists to provide literacy instruction to individuals and families to strengthen communities. We do this: regardless of means or ability to pay, to improve quality of life for individuals, and to advocate for literacy awareness and services.
